Lindsay is originally from Indiana but spent most of her adult life being nomadic and learning from the world. She graduated with honors from Indiana University's Henry Radford Hope College of the Arts with a B.A. in both Studio Art and Art History. She later earned her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont by writing her thesis on Nakavika.
In 2007, Lindsay sailed around the world alongside Archbishop Desmond Tutu and 700+ university students with Semester at Sea, after which she sold her car and spent her life savings to travel solo across twenty-four countries on three continents for seven months. In 2009, she received the World Traveler Internship with STA Travel, documenting months of extensive travel for a marketing campaign, for which she produced travel videos, photographs, and articles.
Lindsay spent two months in the highlands of Fiji, about which she is now writing a nonfiction narrative book focused on Americanism, privilege, and cross-cultural power dynamics. Following this project, she was the producer, editor, shooter, and photographer for the award-winning ProjectExplorer, producing short films for students and young adults that promoted global citizenship.
For seven years, Lindsay worked at THINK Global School, the world's first nomadic high school, in various capacities: first and predominantly as the Media Specialist, later as a Curriculum Developer, and finally as an Educator of multidisciplinary project-based learning.
After returning stateside in 2018, she worked as the Digital Literacy Coordinator for Community College of Denver and supported adult learners by managing tutors, grants, and faculty in their implementation of digital programs. She also ran Pangea’s Oven, a home bakery delivering fresh sourdough bread during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She continues to run her production company, Nomaddermedia LLC, and spends her free time reading, writing, traveling, and gardening.
I am a writer, photographer, and videographer with years of experience making media for companies and individuals around the globe. While I've had the pleasure of working in small crews, I've spent most of my media career as a solo creator from start to finish.
I've been fortunate enough to produce content in a range of environments: while climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, while swimming with sea lions in the Galapagos, while underfoot and on top of elephants in Thailand, from cockpits in airplanes over the Himalayas, alongside the Masaai, Māori, and Bushmen of Botswana, using drones over Swedish Lapland and the Scottish Highlands, and the list goes on.
My range of skills spans the gamut. I've managed and created multi-media campaigns for non-profits, for-profits, and schools. You may need my services if…
you’re a school looking to promote your mission, methodology, curriculum, educators, etc. and need an ed-savvy one-woman production crew to meet your media needs.
you’re a couple having an intimate wedding ceremony and want all your special moments and people documented in both photographs and videos. I’m also an entertaining emcee in a pinch.
you need a wordsmith to fix your website copy or give structure to your manuscript.
you want new headshots that showcase your unique personality for the stage, the screen, or the industry.
